2008: by Eric Nolan-Weathington Kyle Baker may well be the funniest man in comics. With books like The Cowboy Wally Show, Why I Hate Saturn, Plastic Man, and The Bakers on his resume, along with four (of his eight) Eisner Awards in the 'Best Writer/Artist Humor' category, it's hard to argue against him. But he does serious, too - and you can't get much more serious than Nat Turner. He is the all-around cartoonist - he can write, pencil, ink, and color with the best of them. His work has appeared in such diverse publications as The New York Times, Esquire, Rolling Stone, and MAD. Without question, Kyle Baker is a Modern Master, and this book presents a career-spanning interview and discussion of his creative process, plus plenty of rare and unseen art, including an 8-page color section, and a gallery of commissioned work!
