2002: When Jonathan Crane, the Scarecrow, is brought from Arkham to give speeches on the power of fear, Batman is close by to keep a watchful eye on him. But it's not the Scarecrow that Bruce Wayne and Sasha Bordeaux should be worried about. The weight of the world on Batman's shoulders and the weight of the world on Bruce Wayne's shoulders may be too much for one man to bear, especially one under the effects of the Scarecrow's fear-causing chemicals. Plus, a Batman Black & White backup tale written by Paul Grist (Kane) and illustrated by Darwyn Cooke (BATMAN: EGO).
